WELCOME

Last updated 10 June 2008

Welcome to quatermass.org.uk. It's now been over one year since we launched in November 2006. To begin with we've been fairly sparse, but as time has progressed we've added new sections.  We will continue to add more content and we hope to have lots of reviews and interesting articles, crammed with facts and minutiae for you to enjoy.

The essential aim of quatermass.org.uk is to record and celebrate the works of one Britain's least publicly celebrated writers, namely Nigel Kneale. For it is he who has inspired many a writer, from the chaps of The League of Gentlemen to Stephen King, but yet remains one of the most 'unheard' of wordsmiths to the man on the street.

So, really, this is website all about Nigel Kneale, but with a domain name available like quatermass.org.uk, who could resist?

It would be impossible to cover Quatermass and not mention the wonderful talents of the late Rudolph Cartier, so he will have his own pages here too and also pages will be devoted to the wonderful composer, the late Trevor Duncan. So, keep coming back ...

The site is split into two main sections;  the first concentrating on Kneale's work on Quatermass, the mainstay of the this site; the second is looking at Kneale's other work and also the work of important players such as Rudolph Cartier.  Coupled with this is a section containing interviews with people involved in the Quatermass franchise, past and present.

If you have any suggestions, comments or ideas, please contact us.  Our details are here.
